Description: 
At 924 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Melvern, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down twigs or small limbs and blow around objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ottawa, Pomona, Williamsburg, Quenemo, Melvern, and Pomona Lake. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 156 and 179.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for east central Kansas.
