Description:
At 233 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Bloomington, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bloomington, Columbus, Bedford, Nashville, Oolitic, Elizabethtown,
Clifford, Jonesville, Smithville, Gnaw Bone, Bartlettsville,
Spurgeons Corner, Avoca, Azalia, Monroe Reservoir, Woodville Hills,
Elkinsville, Cortland, Charles Deam Wilderness, and Stone Head.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 52 and 74.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
