At 859 PM EST, a strong thunderstorm was over River View, or over Valley, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hamilton, West Point, Pine Mountain, Pine Mountain-Callaway Gardens, Stovall, F.D. Roosevelt State Park, Big Springs, Jones Crossroads, Baughs Crossroads, Pine Mountain Valley, Smiths Crossroad, and Whitesville-Pine Lake.

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
