Description:
At 1116 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles southwest of Madison to 29 miles
southeast of Carrabelle. Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Perry, Lee, Pinland, Jug Island, Ebb, Buckville, Eridu, Scanlon,
Dekle Beach, Jack Lee Island, Foley, Perry-Foley Airport, Hampton
Springs, Sirmans, Shady Grove, Cedar Island, Iddo, Moseley Hall,
Chancey, and Secotan.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 PM EDT for Big Bend
Florida.
