At 514 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Tanner, or 7 miles west of Madison, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Fayetteville, Moores Mill, Meridianville, Redstone Arsenal, Hazel Green, Ardmore, and Gurley.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for north central Alabama.
