Description:
At 243 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles south of Coffeeville to 5 miles east of
State Line to 11 miles southeast of Poplarville. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Wiggins, Citronelle, Lucedale, Chatom, Leakesville,
Chunchula, Saint Stephens, Wagarville, Leroy, Perkinston, McHenry,
Gulfcrest, Deer Park, Tibbie, Calvert, Mount Vernon, McLain, State
Line, and Fruitdale.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for south central
and southwestern Alabama...and southeastern Mississippi.
