Description:
At 417 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Semmes, or 9 miles west of Chickasaw, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Midtown Mobile, Downtown Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, Bay Minette,
Chickasaw, Satsuma, Creola, Chunchula, Stapleton, Axis, Semmes, I65
And I165, I65 And AL 225, and I65 And AL 158.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for southwestern
Alabama...and northwestern Florida.
