Description:
At 1124 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles west of Paul M Grist State Park to
Potter Station to near Orrville. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Prattville, Selma, Valley Grande, Selmont-West Selmont, Autaugaville,
White Hall, Orrville, Billingsley, Booth, Vida Junction, Gardner
Island, Autauga County Airport, Old Cahaba Park, Dallas County Horse
Arena, Mulberry, Marbury, Paul M Grist State Park, Memorial Stadium,
Burnsville, and Potter Station.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for south central
and central Alabama.
