Description: 
At 224 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of Underwood-Petersville to near Red Bay. Movement was east at 35 mph. Cherokee, AL has observed a wind gust of 45 mph with the outflow boundary ahead of the storms. Do not wait for rain to go seek shelter. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40-50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Florence, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Red Bay, Rogersville, Phil Campbell, Killen, and Town Creek.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for north central and northwestern Alabama.
