Description:
At 1156 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Transylvania, or 9 miles southwest of Lake Providence, moving north
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Lake Providence and Transylvania around 1200 PM CST.
Shelburn around 1210 PM CST.
Millikin around 1220 PM CST.
Mayersville and Gassoway around 1225 PM CST.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 PM CST for
southeastern Arkansas...and northwestern Mississippi.
