Description:
At 1131 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
East Mountain, or 6 miles north of White Oak, moving northeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Longview, Kilgore, White Oak, Gladewater, Hallsville, Overton,
Jefferson, Ore City, New London, Arp, Clarksville City, East
Mountain, Diana, Harleton, West Mountain, Cedar Springs, Liberty
City, Berea and Woodlawn.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
