Description:
At 941 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Wilton to 11 miles southwest of New
Boston, or extending from 8 miles north of Ashdown to 11 miles
southwest of New Boston, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Texarkana, Hope, Wake Village, Ashdown, Nashville, New Boston,
Mineral Springs, Foreman, Nash, Hooks, Redwater, Maud, Red Lick,
Emmet, Wilton, Blevins, Perrytown, Tollette and Fulton.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
