Description:
At 607 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, moving northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Brownwood, Early, Bangs, Blanket, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, May,
Lake Brownwood, Zephyr, Brookesmith, Byrds, Lake Brownwood State
Park, Camp Bowie, Owens, Thrifty, and Indian Creek.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
