Description:
At 416 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
southern Abilene, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Abilene, Clyde, Albany, Baird, Tye, Moran, Eula, Potosi, Ibex, Hamby,
Fort Griffin, Impact, Mccarty Lake, Lake Fort Phantom Hill, Us-
283 Near The Callahan-Shackelford County Line, Us-
180 Near The Shackelford-Stephens County Line, and Kirby Lake.
This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 277 and 308.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
