Description:
At 231 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Decatur to near Van Burensburg. Movement was
east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Decatur, Effingham, Taylorville, Pana, Shelbyville, Sullivan, Mount
Zion, Altamont, Arthur, Moweaqua, Teutopolis, Cerro Gordo,
Harristown, Bethany, Long Creek, Atwood, Assumption, Blue Mound,
Macon, and Lovington.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 57 between mile markers 144 and 172.
Interstate 70 between mile markers 79 and 104.
Interstate 72 between mile markers 126 and 137.
