Description:
At 147 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Varna, or 10 miles east of Lacon, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Chillicothe, Lacon, Metamora, Henry, Minonk, Roanoke, Rome, Toluca,
Washburn, Wenona, Benson, Sparland, Varna, Cazenovia, Hopewell, La
Rose, Lake Wildwood, Low Point, Marshall-Putnam County Fairgrounds,
and Marshall County Airport.
This includes Interstate 39 between mile markers 23 and 40.
Instruction:
