Description:
At 1233 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong winds accompanying
showers and a few thunderstorms. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Strong winds could break tree limbs, knock down weak trees
and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Freeport, Maquoketa, Galena, Mount Carroll, Savanna, Lena, Bellevue,
Stockton, Lanark, Warren, Preston, Hanover, Pearl City, Elizabeth,
Shannon, Cedarville, Davis, Woodbine, Sabula, and Dakota.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CST for northeastern
and east central Iowa.
