Description:
At 1021 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Diamond, or 7 miles south of Carthage, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Sarcoxie, Diamond, Fidelity, Stotts City, Avilla, La
Russell, Reeds, Atlas, Red Oak, and Maple Grove.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 14 and 36.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CST for southwestern
Missouri.
