Description:
At 158 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line from near Coleman to 6 miles south of
Ithaca to near East Lansing. Movement was northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts from 30 to 40 mph and pea size hail. Brief heavy
rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could damage unsecured objects. Minor damage to
outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Flint, Saginaw, Midland, Bay City, Owosso, Fenton, Flushing, Grand
Blanc, Davison, Frankenmuth, Durand, Clio, Chesaning, Perry, Auburn,
St. Charles, Birch Run, Pinconning, Laingsburg, and Coleman.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to
low visibility and ponding of water on area roads.
