Description:
At 608 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mooresville, or 14 miles southwest of Indianapolis, moving northeast
at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph. Very heavy rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Heavy rainfall may lead to localized
flooding.
Locations impacted include...
Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Lawrence, Plainfield,
Greenfield, Beech Grove, Speedway, Mooresville, Southport, Avon, New
Whiteland, Cumberland, McCordsville, Whiteland, Bargersville, New
Palestine, Meridian Hills, and Brooklyn.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
