Description:
At 249 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sharpsburg, or 9 miles northwest of Mount Sterling, moving east at 45
mph.
HAZARD...Pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Sterling, Morehead, Owingsville, Marshall, Sharpsburg, Salt
Lick, Ramey, Preston, Reynoldsville, Wyoming, Sideview, Peasticks,
Yale, Moore's Ferry, Flat Creek, Odessa, Stepstone, Hilda, Bourbon
Furnace, and Pebble.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky between mile markers
107 and 136.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
