At 924 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4 miles east of Hermosa, or 17 miles southeast of Rapid City, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea to penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hermosa, Caputa, Farmingdale, Thompson Butte, Railroad Buttes, and Rapid City Airport.
