Description:
At 606 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles southeast of Newell, or 20 miles northeast of Sturgis, moving
northeast at 40 MPH.
HAZARD...Nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Newell, Vale, and Owl Butte.
This includes portions of Highway 212.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If you observe hail, wind damage, or flooding, please report your
observations to the National Weather Service office in Rapid City
via phone, email, or social media, as soon as it is safe to do so.
