Description:
At 1121 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Long Lake Colony to Glendale Colony, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Warner, Mellette, Glendale Colony, Frankfort, Mansfield, Brentford
and Camrose Colony.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for north
central South Dakota.
This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage across Spink and Brown counties. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside
a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
