Description:
At 727 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles south of Sandy Run to near St. Matthews
to 8 miles northwest of Santee State Park. Movement was southeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Orangeburg, Brookdale, St. Matthews, Elloree, Orangeburg County
Airport, Santee State Park, Claflin College, Edisto Gardens, South
Carolina State University, Santee, Cameron, Cordova, Poplar Creek
Landing, Rimini, Stumphole Landing, Yonder Field, Wilkinson Heights,
Prince of Orange Mall, Edisto, and Creston.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 26 between mile markers 133 and 161.
Interstate 95 between mile markers 94 and 104.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
