Description:
At 233 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Dreher Island State Park, or 10 miles west of Highway 6 at Lake
Murray Dam, moving northeast at 40 mph.
...Boaters on Lake Murray Should Seek Safe Harbor...
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Lexington, Irmo, Newberry, Winnsboro, VC Summer Nuclear Station,
Highway 6 at Lake Murray Dam, Red Bank, St. Andrews, Prosperity,
Jenkinsville, Harbison State Forest, Monticello, Dreher Island State
Park, Lake Wateree State Park, Fairfield County Airport, Newberry
College, Newberry County Airport, Ballentine, Blair, and Blythewood.

Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 47 and 54.
Interstate 26 between mile markers 71 and 104.
Interstate 77 between mile markers 29 and 50.
