Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Berkeley County in southeastern South Carolina...
Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of
water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 417 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with
torrential rainfall expanding across much of the Charleston Metro
Area. This activity will slowly meander east through 615 PM. As
much as 1 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen across parts of
the area since mid-afternoon and an additional 1 to 2 inches
could fall, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor
drainage areas.

North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Daniel
Island, Downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, James Island,
I-26/I-526 Interchange and West Ashley.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
