The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a * Snow Squall Warning for... Southwestern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska... Southwestern Banner County in the Panhandle of Nebraska... Southeastern Albany County in southeastern Wyoming... Laramie County in southeastern Wyoming... * Until 1230 AM MDT. * At 1138 PM MDT, a dangerous snow squall was located over Carpenter, or 26 miles east of Cheyenne, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 50 mph could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. SOURCE...Radar and webcams. IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. This includes the following highways... Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 1 and 27. Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 319 and 402. Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 1 and 4. Locations impacted include... Cheyenne, Pine Bluffs, Burns, Happy Valley, Federal, Table Mountain Ranches, Willadsen Estates, Rocking Star Ranch, Silver Sage Estates, Egbert, Granite Canon, Fox Farm-College, Tie Siding, Cheyenne Regional Airport, Pumpkin Vine, Winchester Hills, Vedauwoo Campground, Panorama Point, North Crow Campground, and Ranchettes.
