Description: 
At 1143 AM CDT, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from 6 miles east of Crane Lake to 10 miles northeast of Deer River to near Longville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts up to 20 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. Snow squall will affect US-53. Locations impacted include... Hibbing, Nashwauk, Cook, Marcell, Bigfork, Nett Lake, Orr, Meadow Brook, Ash Lake, Effie, Crane Lake, Gheen, Buyck, Cusson, McCarthy Beach State Park, Scenic State Park, Togo, Pelican Lake, Voyageurs National Park, and Kabetogama Lake.
Instruction: 
Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
