Northwestern Fayette County in southeastern West Virginia... * Until 630 AM EDT. * At 553 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Smithers, or 17 miles northwest of Fayetteville, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Summersville, Clay, Montgomery, Cedar Grove, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Glen, Pinch, Powellton, Handley, Bickmore, Procious, Swiss, Indore, Bentree, Kesslers Cross Lanes, Drennan, and Ivydale. This includes Route 19 between mile markers 38 and 40.
