Description: 
At 617 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bluemont, or 8 miles south of Charles Town, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. Locations impacted include... Leesburg, Charles Town, Purcellville, Brunswick, Berryville, Round Hill, Bluemont, Corporation Of Ranson, Lovettsville, Boyce, Hamilton, Hillsboro, Waterford, Gaylord, Millville, Lincoln, Stringtown, Rippon, Paeonian Springs, and Neersville.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central and north central Maryland...northern and northwestern Virginia...and the Panhandle of West Virginia. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Sterling Virginia.
