Southern Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 510 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
7 miles northwest of New Salem to 18 miles southwest of Maydelle,
or along a line from 14 miles east of Jacksonville to 24 miles
southwest of Rusk, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, Rusk, Alto, Wells, Sacul, Douglass, Ponta, New Salem,
Morrill, Trawick, Forest, Maydelle, New Summerfield, Cushing, Mount
Enterprise, Gallatin, Reklaw, Lilbert, Linwood and Looneyville.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
