Description:
At 343 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northeast of
Mount Vernon, or 8 miles southeast of Hagansport, moving east at 40
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Pleasant, Wilkerson, Talco and Harts Bluff.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT Sunday for a
portion of northeast Texas.
