Description:
At 818 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Laughlin AFB,
or 9 miles east of Del Rio, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. At around 805 pm, quarter sized hail was
reported south of Del Rio.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Kinney, southwestern Edwards and eastern Val Verde Counties,
including the following locations... Kickapoo Cavern State Park and
Escondido Estates.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for south central
Texas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
