At 608 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Linglestown, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Harrisburg, Lebanon, Hershey, Colonial Park, Progress, Palmyra, Linglestown, Annville, Cornwall, Paxtonia, Skyline View, and Campbelltown. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 78 from mile markers 0 to 6. Interstate 81 from mile markers 66 to 94. Interstate 83 from mile markers 48 to 50.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for south central and central Pennsylvania. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows. This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter, such as an interior room, a bathroom or closet or basement.
