Description:
At 1045 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of
Barnesville, moving southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Moundsville, Shadyside, McMechen, Powhatan Point, Glen Dale,
Bethesda, Belmont, Alledonia, Barkcamp State Park, Glendale and
Grand Vue Park.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for portions of
east central Ohio and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
