Description:
At 239 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest of
Woodsfield, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Public reported quarter size hail near Summerfield.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Woodsfield, Beallsville, Lewisville, Jerusalem, Wilson, Alledonia
and Miltonsburg.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced dangerous hail
and is capable of producing damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
