SVRILN The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southeastern Licking County in central Ohio... * Until 615 PM EDT. * At 534 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Granville South to near Frazeysburg, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Newark, Heath, Granville, Buckeye Lake, Hebron, Hanover, Harbor Hills, Granville South, Marne, Thornport, Alexandria, Gratiot, Toboso, Brownsville, Interstate 70 at State Route 13, and Fallsburg. This includes I-70 in Ohio between mile markers 128 and 142, and near mile marker 144.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding.
