Description: 
At 540 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bethany to near Greensboro to near Randleman, moving northeast at 40 mph. A 59 mph wind gust was measured at Piedmont Triad International Airport. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Greensboro, McLeansville, Pleasant Garden, Climax, Forest Oaks, Lake Townsend Marina, Lake Townsend, Lake Jeanette Marina, Randleman Regional Reservior Marina, and Monticello. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 124 and 130. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 220 and 226. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 83 and 88.
Instruction: 
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
