Southeastern Duplin County in eastern North Carolina... * Until 200 PM EDT. * At 113 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cypress Creek, or 14 miles west of New River Station, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Jacksonville, New River Station, Half Moon, Pumpkin Center, Phillips Crossroads, Richlands, Maysville, Kellum, Cypress Creek, Catherine Lake, Comfort, Belgrade, Petersburg, Pleasant Hill, Wyse Fork, Albert J Ellis Airport, Richlands South, Deppe, Haws Run, and Loco VFD.
