* At 819 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Blowing Rock to 11 miles southwest of
Morganton, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Hickory, Lenoir, Morganton, Newton, Taylorsville, St. Stephens,
