Description:
At 445 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Porter Corner,
or near Dundee, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Urbana, Dundee, Pulteney, Wayne, Rock Stream, Himrod, Porter Corner,
Keuka, and Crosby.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.
Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
