* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Hancock County in southern Mississippi...
Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...
* Until 1045 PM CDT.
* At 1004 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Lumberton to near Picayune, moving east at 50
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Picayune, Poplarville, and Mcneil.
This includes Interstate 59 in Mississippi between mile markers 5 and
42.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi.
