Hancock County in southern Mississippi...
* Until 1130 PM CDT.
* At 1047 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles west of Saucier to near Pearlington, moving
east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Bay St. Louis,
Waveland, Pass Christian, Diamondhead, St. Martin, D'iberville,
Kiln, Pearlington, Lyman, Shoreline Park, Saucier, Latimer, and
Gulfport Airport.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana near mile marker 273.
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 47.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi.
