Description:
At 1240 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Arma, or near
Girard, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburg, Frontenac, Girard, Arma, Mulberry, Franklin, Arcadia,
Beulah, Croweburg, Greenbush, Yale, Ringo, Farlington, Polk, and
Englevale.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for southeastern
Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
