Description:
At 843 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Primrose, or 16
miles west of Fort Madison, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Bonaparte, Bentonsport/Vernon, Farmington, Mount Sterling, Indian
Lake Park, Anson, Heath Memorial Conservation Area, and Battle of
Athens Campground.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southeastern
Iowa...and northeastern Missouri.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
