Southeastern Montgomery County in west central Indiana...
* Until 745 PM EDT.
* At 716 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near
Crawfordsville, moving east at 60 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR CRAWFORDSVILLE AND DARLINGTON.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Crawfordsville, Lebanon, Thorntown, Jamestown, Darlington, Advance,
New Ross, and Ulen.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 136 and 147.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 34 and 54.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
