La Porte County in northwestern Indiana...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 1027 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Chesterton,
moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Michigan City, La Porte, Westville, Knox, Trail Creek, Kingsford
Heights, Long Beach, Wanatah, Hamlet, La Crosse, Pottawattamie
Park, Koontz Lake, Hanna, Michiana Shores, Kingsbury, Waterford,
Pinhook, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, and Otis.

Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 38 and 61.
Interstate 94 in Indiana between mile markers 33 and 45.
Interstate 94 in Michigan near mile marker 0.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for north central
and northwestern Indiana...and southwestern Michigan.
