Southern Lake County in northwestern Indiana... * Until 800 PM CDT. * At 644 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Momence, moving east at 30 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR AREAS ON AND NEAR THE KANKAKEE RIVER. HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. * Locations impacted include... Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell, Momence, Lake Village, Lakes of the Four Seasons, Winfield, Roselawn, Lake Dalecarlia, Grant Park, Hopkins Park, Shelby, Schneider, Thayer, and Sumava Resorts.
