* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Brown County in west central Illinois...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 515 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles southeast
of Mount Sterling, or 19 miles northeast of Pittsfield, moving
northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Versailles, Coopertown and La Grange.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Friday for a
portion of west central Illinois.
